Sunset Point Films
Retro sunscreen ads meet independent filmmaking studio in this full-suite branding project.
Sunset Point Films, a full-service production company, wanted a visual identity that was imaginative, playful, and compassionate. With the brand named after Sunset Point, MA, the client wanted to pay homage to his memories of running around this beautiful small town peninsula filming movies with his friends.

Retro, yet modern. Playful, yet established. Angular, yet curvy. Combined with our electric ember, this typeface made for the bold, yet approachable identity we were looking for.
The Logo

The client had a clear vision: a brand character shaped like a sunscreen bottle holding a camera (since the brand is often referred to as SPF). I loved this concept & it was time to work some magic. Simplify, without losing personality, and add in some key details. I knew I wanted our character to be active and to pivot to a retro camcorder, keeping with the vintage branding. Thus was born Sunny, an effervescent lad, who’s honestly just happy to be capturing your story.
